Just Make It Better

I ache to live an exuberant life. One filled with crazy stories of youthful thrills, love and spontaneous adventures. I dream that my deathbed memories will supersede childhood fairy tales.  At the same time I want to impact those around me. I have friends who live their lives miniminally instead of their best. Oozing with potential, they bumble through life afraid to fail, afraid to live, or else too dumb to know the difference. Oh what I would do to shake the stupid out of them!

Grabbing their shoulders, I’d scream: “Dear God you’re so beautiful, amazing and brilliant, please don’t waste it! The world needs your talent! I need it! You need it!”

Woman #1: “What do you do when you are really attracted to a man, but understand there’s no chance to have a future with him? As in yeah, maybe he’s nice and will treat you okay, but in the end he’s fundamentally wrong for you. What do you with that guy?”

Woman #2: “You have sex with him.”

Why does sex always have to mean something? Who said so?
