I like it Raw.

You know when you can really feel something? When it’s so real and honest it moves you?
Those moments in life when you feel it way deep down inside. When, effortlessly, goosebumps come out because it’s so indisputably good your body reacts for you.
It makes you think. It impacts you. Great music, art and business is built on that. TED is a good example.
Don’t stand for the processed stuff. From the one who loves you, companies you support. Yourself.
And when you decide who you’ll be today aim to be raw. It’s unconventional to be that real, but better for everyone.

The link to TED is broken, FYI. But I was really excited to see it, because I just discovered TED yesterday and it is my new favorite place on the internet!
Your blog is great, thanks!

That was a wonderful way to put it.
Jennifer,
Thanks for the heads up.

In a world where people suck up to others in order to get ahead and conceal their inner-most thoughts in order to appear conventional, your post is like a diamond in a coal mine.
It’s so obvious when someone’s being artificial in order to gain something yet no one who observes this seems to notice or care. I’m glad someone else sees it and I hope to have more opportunities to be real and honest with people.

Unfortunately, I think there will always be more “processed” individuals out there than “raw” individuals. People seem naturally inclined to want to follow the trend or do what’s popular instead of being their true, raw self.
To be honest, I really don’t understand why either… being unique is so much more fun!
July 20th, 2009 at 5:14 pmThis explains your blog… it’s raw and direct and makes you think. I like that.
