It’s not how it’s done. It’s how you do it.

Everywhere you look there are rules on the right way to do something.

Whether it be blogging, work, or dating there’s something somewhere telling us how to do it right.

Doing it right is what has us bored, hurting and running to be acceptable.

1. Stop trying to do things the right way.

If you don’t like the game, don’t play it. If you go along with it you’re just a hypocrite, perpetuating the very thing you deem unworthy. At that point you might as well accept it and conform. You are already anyway.

How Rich.

What’s with all the rich people hate

When we all want to be lottery winners
Sneering at their nice cars and flashy rings
Yet dream of when our boat comes in
We eat up the celebrity circuit
With their style, hair and Pilates bodies

They don’t deserve it

No matter: grateful or humble
Whether born into it or earned from nothing
Hate them anyway
By the way they dress
The car they drive
The hair they wear

We’re all just hypocrites

We don’t care
It’s not right unless it’s happening to us
We want our cut

Thinking about becoming single but fear it? Ever suddenly find yourself single?

After healing from a breakup, gaining the interests of new suitors can feel like a struggle. As I enter new stages of life I see how much harder it can be to get to know people intimately.  These rules of adulthood sure limit our chances of finding possible relationships.

It doesn’t have to be that way.

The trick is to give more potential partners a chance.

When Life Feels Craptastic

I’m sitting in my apartment wondering when this entrepreneurial risk will run it’s course. I have a fat lip from my puppy’s big, hard head bucking into my face and I’m fucking scared.

Is the road less traveled going to send me over a cliff?

I would love for this site to grow and influence and lead. I would love to help thousands of people. I know my limitations. I don’t have the means to cure diseases or invent life changing devices. Maybe I’m not fit to create something we’ll all buy one day, but the ones I impassion could.

You know when you can really feel something? When it’s so real and honest it moves you?

Those moments in life when you feel it way deep down inside. When, effortlessly, goosebumps come out because it’s so indisputably good your body reacts for you.

It makes you think. It impacts you. Great music, art and business is built on that. TED is a good example.

Don’t stand for the processed stuff.  From the one who loves you, companies you support. Yourself.

I Hate Weddings. The Aftermath.

Having an opinion other than the status quo can sometimes piss people off.

Weeks after having posting “I Hate Weddings” my boyfriend received a call. The acquaintance who inspired the post was demanding it be taken down.

I never intended her to see it, nor had I thought it was directly about her, given the story was just a catalyst for my message. None the less, an acquaintance (I can guess who now) somehow figured it out and (for reasons unbeknown to me) decided to share it with her.

How to be Amazing (or not)

Amazing is a state of being that is not easily achieved. Socrates and a few other (actually) extraordinary people sum-mated that a man of true intelligence is one that can recognize his own ignorance. The way personal development and self-help go on we should all be world leaders and millionaires. Realistically not everyone will do anything special in their life.

Critical thinking.

How to lose weight and still eat – Part 3

This is part 3 of my series on weight loss.

As I said before, I used to be twenty pounds  heavier and would like to share what I learned from losing it. I’m not professional in any sense, just an experienced person who has applied a realistic method to losing weight and keeping it off.  Unlike other sites which may list ten tips for good abs, similar to the Crap Detox series, this is designed to create a basic understanding about weight loss, food and lifestyle change. One that should, if you’re open to it, create a paradigm shift with regards to weight loss and its entities.
