It can't go on forever. I mean, life will go on, the earth will do just fine over the long haul - the sun has another 500 billion years left in it. But if we just keep on keeping on, the human species will be long gone really soon on the time-frame of a species. A proverbial flash in the pan... Yep… we’re eating the earth like a cookie, or like a bunch of insects covering a piece of fruit. It can’t go on forever. I mean, life will go on, the earth will do just fine over the long haul – the sun has another 500 billion years left in it.
