Life. Explained.

Imagine you’re in the woods. You know where you want to head you just need to keep walking. You’re peaceful, just traveling on the path towards your destination.

After some time you come upon a massive tree stump in your way.

At this point you have a few options:

  1. Get dirty, sweaty and possibly hurt yourself trying to climb over it.
  2. Wander off the path you were on and find an alternative route.
  3. Turn around.
  4. Get upset, feel defeated, give up and die.

‘Tis life baby.

Definitely the first choice, if the odds of climbing up the tree are good. If not then the second choice would be an acceptable alternative. The point is, of course, that we should not get around our problems, but solve them.

We both agree that the first choice would be our option. But there are times when the second choice would be the better, more sane option.
I’m imagining the tree stump as my disgruntled sis, who intentionally put herself across my path, blocking my way. I’ve walked away and found alternate routes many times, and it has worked well. There’s no need to hurt myself on this one.
